I tried to update from Kotiboxsi ibox  ( BeWAN iBox A5100 ) to Kotiboxi A2100N (BeWAN A2100N).
Installed the box and firmware updated (flashing power light) udpated network name & password via oma elisa.
After that no android device could get a reliable wifi connection, all get stuck in optaining ip address & authenticating loop. I tried this with 3 different phones and 3 tablets. Managed to get connection for 15 secounds with one phone then connection was lost.

I did mange to reliably connect Win 7 & Win 8.1 laptops so Wifi is working.
Now back to using old Kotiboxsi ibox and everything works fine.

Also have similar connection problems at friends house with same modem - they just have saunlahti  broadband.

I beleive there is a fix for this but  my (googles) finnish is not that good. :smileyundecided:

Hi meplusthree,

Now we have sent the earlier version of firmware to your modem. It will take up to two hours to downgrade. If the problem persists, you should call 010 190 240, so we can check the problem more closely and perhaps replace the device with a new one.

Seems there is limit on number of wired devices the A2100N can handle, exceed digibox + 4 ?devices  and the box has problems.

Reinstalled old   Kotiboxsi ibox  ( BeWAN iBox A5100 ) no more problems.
Returned home  and was unable to get to internet via wired pc's, digibox or wifi connected laptop & tablet.

All lights on modem were normal adsl = on, world = on.
Could access the modem via wifi & ethernet.
After pressing reset button on modem internet was available.

So have I got a bad A2100n or are they all bad ?

The Kotiboxsi ibox  ( BeWAN iBox A5100 )  worked fine with my home setup :-

3 wired pcs, 2 wifi laptops, digibox, 3 android tablets, android phone  & 2 wired ps3's & wired  smart tv .

Sometimes the modem might need even a reset after firmware changes. So if there's problems with the connection, please push the reset button for 10-15 seconds.
May be I spoke to soon.
After running ok for 3 hours at around 8:30 pm, lost internet connection to digibox, ps3 (wired), pc (wired) and wifi although one pc wired kept its connection.
Error identified as DNS problem by ps3  & win 7. Had to reboot modem (at around 11;30pm) before I could get all connections back.

Was this a problem with the modem or your DNS server ?

Hey there, meplusthree. Welcome to palsta! :)

Please send a private message to me or to Rapsi (other moderator) when you have that Kotiboksi online. We can downgrade the firmware from here. Of course the other option is to call our customer service 010190240 (24h).

Modem needs to be connected to update.

I hope that moderator will look into your issue soon.

Watch this space for updates 🙂
Added my  customer no. to profile.

But the new modem is currently not in use, Will the downgrade happen automgically or will I have to contact Elisa when the new modem is  connected ?

Hey there.

I can tell you, I can find some complaints about this in Finnish. Update for firmware have a bug which cause this. Elisa no more update this bad firmware until fix to it. You can ask customer service to update previous firmware back and Wifi will work again. Please add your customer number (asiakasnumero) to your profile in Palsta. Customer number is only for moderators (Elisa & Saunalahti employees). Then someone from Elisa will downgrade your modem to working one.

Thanks for your time. Here we go!
