Hi @Juraj14 and welcome to OmaYhteisö! :) If you mean that you’d want to activate Mobile ID to your subscription, that’s not possible with Prepaid subscription :( Mobile ID requires a subscription where the customers identity has been verified

Unfortunately no, with Prepaid subscription it’s not possible altogether at all :/ I recommend getting a monthly billed subscription from https://elisa.fi/kauppa/puhelinliittymat or by calling our sales :)

For you to have a subscription that’s monthly billed, all you need is Finnish social security number and home address :) Prepaid number can’t be switched over to post-paid subscription as there’s no  proven data of the holder of the subscription, you need to get a new number for post-paid subscription

Ok. That sounds good. I can do it on internet or just in shop?

What kind of services did you think of using with Mobile ID?

Most public services are accessable using an official id card containing the citizen certificate and a smart card reader connected to your computer.

However, private businesses rarely accept the citizen certificates for online transactions.

Do you have a Finnish bank account and online banking from them? If so, you won’t need Mobile ID, as all the services you could use with Mobile ID are also available using identity-feature of your online banking service portfolio.

Sure, both of these apply to Saunalahti Prepaid, but not to prepaid subscriptions in general.

Other prepaids can be changed over to invoiced subscriptions, provided that you have kept the credit card sized sim-card frame.

At least one operator offers Mobile ID in conjunction with their prepaid-service, so shop around. Tip: the name starts with letter T.

This is a chicken and an egg problem.

Mobile ID can be activated using Finnish online banking, but if you already have Finnish online banking, you don’t necessarily need Mobile ID.

If you don’t have Finnish online banking, then you must visit an Elisa shop.

Vero.fi works fine with Finnish id card and the citizen certificate. Bank account number for tax returns can mailed in using the paper form 7208e, too.

The insurance companies effectively block you out of their online services without  Finnish online banking or Mobile ID. Have you tried calling them, maybe they could arrange home insurance on the phone? Or if you live in a city, look for a service point, go and see them in person.

Amazing, the chat people do not know the information that is readily available on their own website!

Finding the form 7208e took less than 60 seconds. 1. Go to vero.fi 2. search for tilinumero (account number). 3. follow the relevant link. 4. Switch the language from Finnish to English, done.

You can browse invoiced Elisa subscription types here (in Finnish):

https://elisa.fi/kauppa/puhelinliittymat/

The location of Elisa shops:

https://elisa.fi/myymalat/

BTW, I am not sure, but it might be that only ”myymälä”, shop, can help you with Mobile ID. ”Myyntipiste” is a small stand with very limited services.

Unfortunately it seems that any detailed information about Mobile ID, mobiilivarmenne, is available just in Finnish on Elisa website:

https://elisa.fi/varmenne/

Have a nice weekend!
