Actually nothing major, just very, very unhappy with the Elisa "kotiboksi" and it's lack of port forwarding features (I need more than 3) and lack of parental control features.
So I was wondering if I can just use my own modem and still get the IPTV stuff? If so what is the recomended modem to use?

Cheers!

You can put the modem in bridged mode, and use whatever router you want. It must support IGMP v2, to see those IPTV-channels.

If you prefer an ADSL modem, one of Telewell 510 series is a good choice.

Hey, thanks for the mega quick reply, so I would get that Telewell box and it wont affect any of the IPTV stuff?
The HD channels will work and I will be good to go, only with more control over the box than I currently have?

If so I will order one of those, telewell modem working ok with the Wii?

Absolutely all that. I personally have tested a Wii with an older Telewell 510v3 model and it worked fine. HD channels/vods have a bitrate of 10-12Mbit/s, so an ADSL connection with 13-14Mbit/s speed should be enough.

Ok so far so good, now my last silly questions, do I need to do any special configuration on the Telewell box for IPTV? Finally how does this IPTV know who I am? I thought it was all tied into the S/N and MAC of the "kotiboksi", if I change that will all my recordings and pay channels (canal+) still work?

All things will work as before. DSL connections have no "static mac" as cable modem connections do. Your set top box has an user account coded inside, the modem does not matter.
