I live in a TOAS building, and the net is provided through a wall LAN connection. In the past I have been connecting that to my PC. But now I want also a wireless network in my room (just a simple one to use with my tablet, iPhone).
I tried two methods to make the connections, both failed:
-I tried to connect a cable from the wall socket to the LAN4/UPLINK port and then another cable from LAN1 to my PC, but I couldn't get an internet connection with it (on the wifi or the PC).
-I tried to connect the cable from my wall to the PC (I get internet to my PC), and then another cable from my PC to LAN4/UPLINK. But I couldn't get internet connection on the wifi.
Do I need to do some changes in the settings somewhere to get it to work??
P.S. A couple of month ago I did this with another router (though it didn't have a WAN or UPLINK port) and it worked. Though I got disconnected from the TOAS network because I needed a WAN port to connect my cable to the wall socket.

I am not sure about your router´s firmware version , but here is a link to comparable settings page. You can get into settings with browser in http://192.168.100.1
