I am Using N7700 and BeWAN iBox A5100

After the recent channel changes I had to change the source of FRII, Hero,, Fox, Ava to be IP.
This works fine using ethernet - but not well with WLAN even though signal is 100%.

My GF has just got Elisa Viihde and is using Kotiboksi A2100N & N7700.
The chanels have been reloaded several times digi box reset , however She can not see FRII hero etc.
Also when the Channel loads there is no option to change the source.
When checking channel info it is connected via wifi internet but has odd looking IP adddress starting with 297. ? not a 192. as I would expect.

So my questions are.

Do you need to connect the digibox via lan cable when you first start using it to get it set up correctly.

Can you expect a reliable picture using WIFI assuming there is no other heavy network usage?

Hi!

Unfortunately it is not possible to watch those channels via wifi. You need to use the lan cable. There is some techinal reasons for that.

If it is not possible to use the cable, you can still records shows form that channel and start watching those right away. 🙂

In other use wifi is just alright. 🙂

It is always better to use a lan cable, though.

GF not happy - especcially after being on the phone for hour trying to fix this!
Just to clarify this.

I have both Adsl & 4G from elisa.

I cant seem to get the IPTV to work when connected via Lan to the 4G modem (Huawei B593), lan to ADSL works fine!

Any suggestions ?
Free-to-air channels (1-16) can only be watched with Elisa/Saunalahti DSL connection and ethernet cable at certain areas (ex-PPO, ex-KYMP and ex-Telekarelia). That's because multicast IPTV distribution is not available on mobile networks at all.
