Korkea ping vaikka hyvä netti

Ping on toiminut aikaisemmin hyvin, vaikka muut ovat käyttäneet nettiä, mutta nyt parin viikon aikana ping on ollut huono pelatessa. Joka toinen sekuntti ping nousee ja laskee välillä 60-120. Ping heittelee samalla lailla vaikka olisin yksin kotona. Mistäköhän saattaa johtua?

Hmm.. Syypää voisi olla tuo DNA:n modeemi. Mikäli se on ollut Elisan linjan päässä pidempäänkin, voi siinä olla vanha firmware. Nuo operaattoreiden modeemit kun eivät välttämättä päivity kuin ko. operaattorin omassa verkossa.

Suosittelen ainakin testaamaan muualta hankittua modeemia / reititintä. Lisäksi operaattoririippumaton laite on paikallishallinnan puolesta ihan toista luokkaa.

Onko elisa ottanut ipv6:n käyttöön muuallakin kuin mobiiliverkossa, vai mistä tuo 2a00:1450:400f:807::200e osoite tulee?

Niin tosiaan, tuo on merkillepantavaa, että miksi tuo ping menee IPv6:n kautta. Voisiko jostain syystä olla käytössä joku tunneloiniratkaisu, josta tulee viivettä?

Mitä mahtaa traceroute tuolle samalle osoitteelle sanoa? Windowsissa komento on nimellä tracert.
