Hey. I recently rented Lapland Odyssey in order to watch it but I couldn’t get the english subtitles to work even though there was a “language: English” button on the player. Is there a way to get a refund since there is no joy from the movie without subtitles?

I checked the status of those Lapland Odyssey -movies (part 1 and part 2), and neither of them has English subtitles unfortunately. Part 2 has subtitles in Finnish and in Swedish, but not in English. Part 1 has only in Finnish. So even if your player shows the subtitle -mention, you cannot have the subtitles in English, because the original movie doesn’t have them. In this case it’s not possible to have refund of the purchase.
To be able to watch some movie with English -subtitles, you need to search for a movie in which the description tells: “Tekstitykset: englanti”.

It seems like you’ve just wasted money.
Either way you waste them on overpriced packages in mobile plans or you waste them on rents without description. I think it should be noted better that Elisa Viihde is not for English people when it comes to Finnish movies. Believe me they are not as good as these other movies.
I am sorry for your loss, may you do a better rent next time.
I’d suggest just grab a beer and rent something else, you’ll make it for a movie!
Would be nice a free movie ticket for you in this case from Elisa, but… It is extremely rare thing if they refund movie rentals, at least you need to complain a lot to their service.
