So you have a 4G or 5G internet? You can terminate your contract, but then you would need to make a new contract in May. The term of notice is 14 days. When you make a new contract, you will need to change the sim card, too.
You can terminate your subscription online.
- Log on to OmaElisa
- Choose Products and orders and click the phone number you wish to terminate.
- Scroll down to Contract details, owner and authorisation and open the subcategory. Scroll further down and click Terminate the agreement.
- Confirm the termination. Remember the term of notice is 14 days. You cannot terminate the subscription earlier than that.
Please note that Close subscription temporarily is intended for cases, where your router has been stolen or your sim card has been lost. Temporary closure will not affect charging the monthly fee of the subscription!
If you don’t want to go through getting a new contract later on, you can also check if there would be an option of changing the subscription type to a cheaper one while you are away. Netti mukaan M 27,99 €/month doesn’t seem to make much sense.
But if you could change it over to Elisa Tablet 4G, it would cost just 5,99 €/month + 0,99 € for each day the connection is used. Make sure that you unplug the power to your router, otherwise you will get a nasty surprise invoice.
Even cheaper would be Elisa Laitenetti S 4,99 €/month, which is a very slow 0,2 Mbit/s connection.
However, Elisa is not very flexible with changes. I don’t know, if you can change your current mobile data subscription into Elisa Tablet 4G, or Laitenetti. But take a look around OmaElisa, what changes are possible for you subscription.
