Mobiilivarmenne (Mobile Certificate) scratch number

Hiello Elisa community,

I just recently moved to Finland (apologies, my Finnish is poor!). Three days ago, purchased a post-paid mobile phone subscription at the Elisa store in-person.

I was given a new SIM card and phone number. I cannot use the OmaElisa app yet or create an account, since I do not have banking credentials yet.

However, my SIM card has “TUNNUSLUKU: MOBIILIVARMENNE #####” and a number is revealed when you scratch it. What is this number for? I go to the https://varmenne.elisa.fi/ website, but there doesn’t seem to be a place where I can enter the number.

Thanks!

Welcome to community,

Tunnusluku is a PIN-code for a mobiilivarmenne.

You can not get https://mobiilivarmenne.fi/eng/

before you have a Finnish passport,  a Finnish identity card or a Foreigner’s identity card for resident.

IMO, If you need banking account here, it’s cheaper to use their online banking credentials, because Elisa will charge you their 1,99 e monthly. What to do with double credentials?
