I need to transfer eSim because my phone was damaged and replaced.

To oder new eSIM I need to enter to Netbank, which I cannot do without phone number attached to that eSIM, please help me with this.

I am located overseas right now and cannot do any of that in person

Thank you

Your situation highlights the fragility of the Finnish digital services. There are just too many single point of failures.

Does your bank really use sms to confirm the use of trust network? Many do not. Have you actually tried to use your bank’s customer number, password and code list alone?

A Danske Bank or Nordea customer could use the id device provided by the bank. Unfortunately other Finnish banks do not have any such devices available.

I assume you do not have another sim with Mobile ID service at the ready, either?

Elisa is dumb enough not to accept the official identity card online.

Nordea wants to send me sms with activation code so I can log in into the services. And Elisa wants me to use bank…

I would try to contact your banks customer service and figure if there is another way to to log in to their service. 🤔

eSIM ordering and activation all happens in OmaElisa. You have to read QR-code with your device from there, which is why it can’t be done through Elisa Customer Service. 😔

Here are the instructions how to order and activate eSIM (it’s in Finnish).
