Hello
currently on holiday in an EU country at the edge of the EU. The phone randomly connects to networks from the nearby non-EU country and in 4 days, an extra €20 bill has been generated for data consumption without my consent.
What is the best way of avoiding this expensive nuisance?

For invoiced subscriptions and Latausliittymä, log in to OmaElisa and set roaming barring for outside the EU&EEA area. Usage blocks → Mobile data and Usage abroad, Edit.

For prepaids the only thing is to try manual operator selection on your phone settings. Unfortunately that does not work very reliably on modern phones.
Thank you very much. I was not aware of this semi-hidden sub-option. My non-EU roaming costs actually reached 51 euros…A lesson to be learnt
