My sim is not working Abroad

Have you just recently bought your phone in Finland?

Samsung region locks their products. You must make at least 5 minutes of phonecalls in Europe before taking it to any other continents.

Does WiFi work on your phone regardless of the region locking? If it does and you have an invoiced subscription from Elisa, do this:

1. Borrow or buy a local phone. A basic keypad phone is fine.
2. Move your sim over to another phone.
3. Register to WhatsApp on your Samsung phone. When confirmation code arrives on the other phone, key it in manually on your Samsung phone.
4. If you borrowed a phone, remember take your sim card out of it before returning the loaner phone.

If you have Saunalahti Prepaid or Saunalahti Latausliittymä, then you are out of luck. Unfortunately these two do not work in Pakistan. In that case, you can only make and receive VoWiFi-calls and send text over VoWiFi.

Receiving text over VoWiFi does not work with Elisa. Thus, it is impossible to register WhatsApp in Pakistan using Saunalahti Prepaid and Saunalahti Latausliittymä.

If you like travelling, then one possibility is to visit a country, where Saunalahti Prepaid and Saunalahti Latausliittymä can receive sms, like Australia, Bulgaria, Egypt, Greece, Kazakhstan, Romania, Thailand or Türkiye.
