do you have voice subscription or mobile broadband subscription?

if voice, better discounts are given when you initiate phone number transfer to another operator. when transfer is going on, then previous operator sends contact info and/or new offers.

if mobile broadband, it is more difficult to get good discounts.

avoid binding contracts!

i wonder the price 17.90€, was it actually 17.99€. these days almost all discount prices are *.99€.

What voice subscription with let's say 100mb can you offer?

I prefer to stay with Elisa and just change my subscription rather than change operators.

keep in mind, i do not represent elisa. i’m just individual person here.

i can say some things, what operators usually do not say.

my (strong) guess is, without transferring number, elisa won’t offer anything lower than 18€/month for 100Mbit/s.

if you want half-good discounts, you can go “oma elisa” and see what they offer there.

if you decide to transfer your number, then you make agreement with other operator. and you do not cancel previous agreement, because in phone number transfer, new operator send message to previous operator and cancels automatically.

Do you currently reach the maximum speed of your subscription? If not, changing to a faster subscription is pointless.

For example, if you have a 50 Mbit/s subscription and you constantly get 45 – 50 Mbit/s out of it, then switching to a faster subscription will likely improve your connection speed.

However, if you already have a 100 Mbit/s subscription and constantly get just 40 – 60 Mbit/s out of it, switching to a 300 Mbit/s subscription will not help. You will just get a heftier invoice.

The only exception to this rule is network technology. Elisa unfortunately practices radio access technology discrimination, and thus you need a so called “5G” subscription in order to log into 5G network. Thus, if you have a 5G phone and use it in 5G coverage area, then switching from from ordinary subscription to a “5G”, even the slowest one, will increase the speed.

As @lasselusse already wrote, operators are unfortunately interested just in new customers. Old customers won’t get good offers.

If you want to have a good offer from Elisa, you have to either get a new phone number or initiate number porting and wait for a winback offer.

Should you decide to go the winback route, make sure you have allowed marketing from Elisa. Go to Oma Elisa, klick portrait, My information, Communication and turn I want to receive marketing messages from Elisa on.
