Sim card replacement

Provided that you still know the phone number and PUK, which are engraved on the frame the SIM was attached to, you can visit an Elisa shop and ask for a replacement SIM. The new SIM will cost 7 €.

If you have lost your PUK, then the game is over. Nothing can be done in that case.

Elisa’s instructions for prepaid sim card replacements are:

Elisan Saunalahti Prepaid -liittymän SIM-kortin vaihto

 

Saunalahti Prepaid -liittymän SIM-kortin voit vaihtaa uuteen Elisan myymälässä. Tarvitset vaihtoa varten: 

• Prepaid-liittymäsi numeron 
• Prepaid-liittymäsi PUK–koodin, jonka löydät liittymäsi SIM-kortin kehyksestä.

Uuden SIM-kortin aktivoinnista veloitamme hinnaston mukaisen palvelumaksun 7 €, joka maksetaan myymälässä.

PS. If you already have acquired the Finnish personal identity code, henkilötunnus, you can also consider getting a prepaid with contract, Saunalahti Latausliittymä. Latausliittymä is topped up just like Saunalahti Prepaid, but unlike Prepaid you can check the balance and call itemisation online at Oma Elisa, order a new SIM card by mail and port your number from and to Latausliittymä.

However, as Saunalahti Prepaid numbers cannot be transferred to another service nor ported to another operator, you have to get a new number, should you be interested in Latausliittymä.
