Suspicious phone call from a foreign number

Hello,

Today I received a suspicious phone call from the number xxxx. I answered the call, and an automated voice message claimed to be from Klarna. The message asked me to press numbers on my phone.

I do not have any current Klarna orders or payments. I did not press any numbers or provide any personal, banking, card, password, or verification information. I simply hung up.

I have already reported the call to Klarna because I suspect it was a scam.

I would also like to report this number to Elisa. Could you please check whether this number has been reported as suspicious or fraudulent, and let me know if there is anything I should do to protect my phone number or account?

In this case, your decision to contact Klarna was the correct one as the caller was pretending to be one of their associates. 👍 They should be able to determine if that call was made from them or not.

Unfortunately, at this point we don’t keep track on individual phone numbers or their use in potential scams. There are some websites that can be found on Google where you can report a specific number and tell that you suspect that the number is being used for scams. The experiences are then visible to other users on the page.

As you didn’t give the caller any personal information nor did you press any buttons on your phone when asked, I would say that your subscription and your personal information are safe.😊
