What smtp server are you using?
In the 1990’s this didn’t matter much, but in 2020’s it is important to use the correct smtp servers relevant to your email address.
In case of @kolumbus.fi addresses, the correct smtp server is smtpa.kolumbus.fi
SSL has to be used and the port is 465. Please login with your full email address and email password.
If you cannot log on to smtpa.kolumbus.fi for some reason, there is another server, which works only when connecting from Elisa/Saunalahti internet connection. This server is smtp.kolumbus.fi
On this server, you cannot use SSL, the port is 25 and you cannot log on.

Sorry, @kolumbus.fi is used by many customers. It is very unlikely that Elisa would allow Google to send messages using this domain.
If you would have a business account with your own domain, then Elisa could set your domain up for using Google mail servers.
