Iphone S SIM not Valid

Hi,

I bought an iPhone in tori. Seems like only Elisa sim cards are working. when I try to put some other SIM Card, it says activation failed. SIM Not valid. The SIM Card that you currently have installed in this iphone is from a Service provider that is not supported under the activation policy that is currently assigned by the activation server.

In Network Settings Carrier provider says Elisa 43.1

Network SIM locked- your carrier has locked the phone.

Please how I can resolve this. Wherever I read in Elisa forum it says SIM card never locked in iphone from Elisa!

I recommend contacting Apples support regarding that. There’s no lock that would be set on our side, so it’s probably now some software issue on the phone’s side

Hi @Leo12321

It seems that there might have some geoblocking. Which operator sim card you are trying to use?
I googled this and there is also some solutions for the problem https://discussions.apple.com/thread/6020431

Elisa SIM Card is working fine. When I insert Moi sim card, it throws this error!

Apple service should be able to remove geblocking or SIM card limitations. Apple’s security measures could be hard to skip or “hack” . Stolen devices are a different story and it’s not uncommon, that devices sold on Tori might have suspicious history.
